Remember the story of the ugly duckling that turned into a beautiful swan? That's what we have here but with less feathers.
Always walking around with her nose in a book, she was the sweet wholesome type never noticed by anyone, particularly the cool gang!*
Eventually she looked up from her books, her acne had gone, the braces were off, glasses were replaced with contact lenses and her bushy, bushy blonde hairdo... well that was still blonde... and bushy. But people noticed her.
Having spent her formative years distracted by education (instead of boys and showing off), she never acquired a bad attitude. But maybe she developed something worse... an overly positive attitude.
She is enthusiastic... about everything and views the world through rose-tinted spectacles. Everything is awesome, everything is wonderful, everything is beautiful. Although she is sweet and behaves as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, some people find that kind of perfection really annoying!
